Text message updates

alistShipping is a service of AListEngine. Auction houses use it to ship won items to their buyers. Buyers who ask for it get text messages about their order from alistShipping. This page shows how buyers opt in, what we send, and how to stop.

How buyers opt in

When an auction house is ready to ship, alistShipping emails the buyer a link to their checkout page at alistshipping.com. The page shows what they won, where it ships, and the shipping services to choose from.

Above the pay button is a Text updates section with the buyer's mobile number and a checkbox, Text me updates about this order. The box starts unchecked and is optional: buyers can pay or choose pickup without it. The full disclosure sits next to the box:

By checking this box, you agree to receive text messages from alistShipping (AListEngine) about this order: a link to pay for shipping, tracking, and delivery updates. Up to 5 messages per order. Only checking the box turns texts on. A phone number the auction house gave us is never texted unless the buyer checks the box for it. We record the number, the time and the words they agreed to. The first text they get confirms the opt-in.

What we send

Only messages about the buyer's own order: a link to pay for shipping, tracking once it ships, and delivery updates. No marketing. For example:

alistShipping: [Auction House] is ready to ship your [Auction Name] items. Choose a shipping service and pay, or pick up instead: https://alistshipping.com/pay/[your-link] Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

The first text confirms the opt-in:

alistShipping (AListEngine): You're signed up for texts about your [Auction House] order: payment link, tracking and delivery, up to 5 msgs per order. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

How often, and cost

Up to 5 texts per order, usually 2 or 3. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop, and help

Reply STOP to any message, or uncheck the box on the checkout page. We send one message confirming you opted out and no more. Reply HELP, or email info@alistengine.com, for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number and privacy

We use the number only to send these messages. Mobile numbers and text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
